My family and I loved it. When it came time to be replaced, there were no models at that time that would fit in the assigned space since I had my kitchen remodeled. I have a side by side. Refrigerator section is small for larger items. Next refrigerator is going to lower freezer section with the refrigerator on the top. We would really like the refrigerator section to be large enough to put pizza boxes etc.
The product has never had any problems with maintenance so far. The food is also always cold at the exactly right temperature, and its very spacious inside the fridge. I also like the amount of side space in the refrigerator, because it gives me room for my condiments and is plenty of room for me to store my items that I need to. Mostly everything fits inside of the fridge. Only things that are slightly tall have problems with fitting inside the fridge. Since it was out of warranty, we had to pay for new compressor.
That lasted 3 months, then another 2 times replaced the compressor. Then, in August, 2015, the computer went out. At our expense, once again, we have replaced the computer. Since that time, refrigerator has constantly had temp fluctuations.
Refrigerator part goes between 45-55 degrees. We purchased a brand-new Kenmore refrigerator on Aug. The refrigerator section failed in April of 2018. Two years later, April 2020, the refrigerator is dead again. Verified via built-in diagnostic tests that the compressor and fan were functional when commanded. Chose to replace the JAZZ board myself, but that didn’t solve the problem.
My Kenmore refrigerator worked great for the time that I had it. I was pleased with the size of it and the functionality. I rarely had issues with it but when I had to call for service repair they were speedy and knowledgeable. I would recommend a Kenmore to others! We purchased a French door fridge from Sears in 2013. The receipt is barely readable now.
Starting a year ago the bottom freezer began filling up like an ice rink. Then the defroster comes on and its like a waterfall all over the floor. My husband is nearly 80, we are on a fixed income and I dont know who to turn to and try get this resolved. It seems like there are a lot of complaints about Sears repair people on here. The refrigerator has great efficiency when keeping items cold, and would not overuse the electricity. Its quiet, efficient, and has enough room for meats and veggies.
Also, it fit quite easily in the kitchen, though not too convinced with the doors opening side by side. Would recommend to get if kitchen isnt so cluttered together. When I had this refrigerator it worked great. It did not freeze things in the refrigeration part of the fridge and kept them at the perfect cold temperature. The refrigerator was alright when it comes to size.
I prefer to have a bigger fridge but it was all that I was able to afford at the time. The refrigerators appearance was fairly standard. It was white with the freezer on the top and the refrigeration on the bottom. On purchased a Kenmore top-freezer refrigerator in Jan. Five months after the purchase the fridge started emitting a burning-like odor. I contacted Sears Home Services more than 10 times over the course of a week to schedule warranty service, but each time I was told that their system was down, and that I should expect a call from them within 2-4 hours. Kenmore Refrigerators did a great job at keeping my veggies fresh for several days longer than I thought they used to with my old fridge.
