Originally scheduled for release on 22 October 2021, it was released on 5 November 2021 through Spinefarm Records and was produced by Carl Bown. On 19 May 2020, in an interview with Rock Sound, Tuck announced that the band was in the process of writing a new album.
After several mixed-to-negative reviews by critics on Gravity, they decided to working on a new record which would be ‘heavier’ compared to the latest album. On 11 June 2021, Bullet for My Valentine unveiled a new Patreon page, The Army of Noise, posting that it is “the only place to get the latest BFMV news, early tix, BTS, merch discounts and exclusive items, signed gifts and more. Plus, a portion of each sub goes to the Teenage Cancer Trust. The album received generally positive reviews from critics. Distorted Sound scored the album 6 out of 10 and said: “This record is nothing special, but it could lead to some interesting places.
